Swallows pitcher Masanori Ishikawa retiring with no regrets after 25 seasons
Masanori Ishikawa, the diminutive left-hander who carved out an outsized place for himself in Tokyo Yakult Swallows history, is retiring after 25 seasons on the mound.
The veteran pitcher, who announced the news on his Instagram page shortly before holding a news conference at the team’s office, said he is ending his career with no regrets.
“It’s been an enjoyable 25 years,” he said.
